November 2022: Update 4

It's November 25th as I write this, and it's been a rough week. My youngest has been home sick with a fever, needing extra love and attention from me as he works toward recovery. We also went on a quick, weekend trip to Kentucky, which was amazing but also incredibly tiring. And, of course, we had the Thanksgiving holiday yesterday.

All of the nuttiness has led to a lack of time and energy to write, which has significantly impacted my ability to "win" Wrimo this year. I'm about 19k words shy of where I should be, and I'm ready to throw in the towel.

But... that doesn't mean I'm going to stop. I might not hit that 50k word goal by the end of this month, but I'd be interested to see just how far I can go before the curtain finally comes down.

And so, here's how it broke down this week:

November 18: 0

November 19: 0

November 20: 0

November 21: 990

November 22: 2309

November 23: 353

November 24: 523

Subtotal: 4,175

NaNo Total: 21,153

The Plan

I'm not going to worry about that elusive 50k at this point. My plan for this last stretch of NaNoWriMo is to get to 25k before December 1st. And if I can do more than that, I'll be super stoked.

So, with that said, have an amazing weekend!

If my stories have ever made you swoon, laugh, cry, or bite your nails with anticipation, and you're hoping I’ll keep the words coming, I'd be beyond grateful if you'd consider buying me a coffee.

That magical cup of caffeine? It tells me you're out there, reading, loving, and rooting for more romance, high-stakes drama, swoon-worthy book boyfriends, and fierce heroines facing impossible odds. A coffee is a little nudge that says, "Hey, keep going—I need more!"

Thank you so much for even considering it. Your support? It means the world to me. 🖤
